Cape Town, South Africa: Cape Times Limited Undated - circa mid-20th century. VERY GOOD harcover; a jacket was not issued.. Contains 100 beautifully printed color tobacco cards issued by the United Tobacco Companies. Cards plus 4 full-page color plates tipped into position. Text, in English and Afrikaans, discusses various ecosystems, development and classifications of local flora. This copy is complete with no writing or other markings. Pages, all with decorative borders or rules, have scattered light spottings but are otherwise fine. Printed endpapers. Bound in light tan boards with metallic decorative device embossed on front cover; brown cloth spine. The boards are moderately foxed with some soil spotting; spine ends rubbed with slight fraying, corner tips worn to board. Binding is firm and intact, hinges fine, no splits.Text in English and Afrikaans. 8 x 10"; [xi] + 100 numbered pages.. Hardcover. Very Good/Not Issued. Small 4to.
