Adams challenges the prevailing view that in the Virginia campaigns superior Southern Military skills led to Confederate victories. The union armies, he argues, defeated themselves by assuming Southern superiority. Book is clean and tight with no markings or soiling. 253 pages with notes and index. Dust jacket is whole, with no tears, rips or soiling. Both ends of jacket have some light rubbing--shelfwear. Jacket is covered with a mylar sleeve.
