About This Item
Cleveland & New York: World Publishing. Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, showing no marks or wear. The yellow cloth covers are fresh, with minor wear at tips and corners. The dust jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise in excellent condition, again with light wear only. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: A mystery story for boys, set in post-war England. George's group of school friends celebrates too enthusiastically after winning a battle with Toppy's gang, and Nick punts a football through a window. The gangs sign a truce (the Peace of Otterbury) and start raising funds to replace the window. However, while looking for ways to raise money the boys unexpectedly uncover a real crime and real criminals, and have to investigate.
