London: Vanity Fair, 1884. Print. Good + overall. Caricature of Oscar Wilde, the famous Irish author. This is an original chromolithograph, published in 1884 in Vanity Fair, an English magazine that published satirical caricatures from 1868-1914. Ape was the pen name of Carlo Pellegrini. The descriptive text is neatly glued on the back of the print, trimmed to 7 1/2 x 4", with no show through. Image size approx. 14.5 x 8.25" on larger paper. A couple of minor creases with a small knicks in the margin.
