About This Item
This popular wrestler was active from the 1930s through the 1950s, appearing in 679 matches, and later was involved in wrestling promotion with Chicago's influential Fred Kohler. ODS, 1p, 8½" X 10 3/4", n.p., n.y. [likely ca. 1960]. Very good. Faint edgewear and light age toning; three-punched at left margin. Original pencil sketch by unknown amateur artist, a head-and-shoulders closeup of bare-chested, caulifower-eared Taylor gazing steely-eyed, boldly inscribed and signed by him in black ballpoint left of center: "To My / Good Friend / Donald Burnell / Good Luck / from Ned Taylor / Sept. 22, 1960." Most unusual!
