SIGNED by author, presentation copy dated Sept 26, 1962. 10.5", 479pp. . FLAWLESS book & slipcase. FINE DJ with minor edgewear, p/c. FEP note: "Sept 26,1962 To My Dear Friend Roy F Parker with my compliments "Jake" Charles W. Jacobsen". Two different 2.5"x3.5" color photos of Jacobsen are glued in, one below the note, another on TP. Both identify Jacobsen. A 3rd & 4th color photos of rugs laid in, both noting the connection of the rugs with Parker & Jacobsen. Inked note on p 173 about the 34,000,000 knots in this rug. Another on plate 5 correcting the 19th century date to the 16th. Can't tell if these corrections are by Parker or Jacobsen. In part 1 their are 10 in text b/w maps, 51 in text b/w figures. Part 3 consists of 195 plates on 160 pages, 40 of which in color. .
