In the two color illustrated dust jacket with price $3.75 intact on the front flap: spine ends minimally chipped, one-inch closed tear near the spine head, price sticker remains partially obscure the flap price. Full text of Stuart's "Travelling Memoranda" from the Pacific Fur Company's Fort Astoria to St. Louis, establishing the Oregon Trail. With Spaulding's scholarly introduction comparing the source to Washington Irving's use in Astoria. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable clear archival sleeve.
