The author's memoirs beginning in 1913 when he was born in Krzeszowice near Krakow to the present. Illustrated with black and white photogrpahs (quite a few actually). A note from the publisher: "This is an autobiograph y of the soldier, sailor, countryman and explorer. Apart from his pre-war childhood and war stories in the army, Henoch discusses his scientific career and shows his satisfaction in unraveling the Secrets of Nature in the Rockies and in the Canadian Arctic and sub-Arctic". Two page bibliography at the back. One bit of marginalia where someone has corrected a date in the text on page 9. Otherwise very clean with a tight binding and having a whisper of wear to the cover edges. .
