Indianapolis, In: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1910. Book. VG+. Original Wraps. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. This is the 1910 facsimile reprint of the first edition of the first book by James Whitcomb Riley, so stated. Unique in that it has TWO DJ's. The outer jacket is plain brown paper with red tiles and rules " ' The Old Swimmin" Hole and ' Leven More Poems. " The Inner DJ is Cream paper , which adds, " by Benj. F. Johnson, of Boone. James Whitcomb Riley. Indianapolis, Ind. George C. Hitt & Co. 1883. to the aforementioned Outer jacket verbage. The book itself is plain cream paper covers. This copy is VG+ in a VG+ DJ(s). The copy is uncut, unmarked, clear, crisp, and firmly bound. The Inner jacket has a hint of edge wear and a hint of toning. The outer DJ has a couple of small chips, a couple of small closed tears , and a 2 1/2 " closed tear at the spine hinge. As of September 2020, I could find no other "1910" copies such as this, SCARCE as such..
