Publisher's full brown cloth, gilt lettering on spine, blind-stamped decoration and publishers' medallion on cover, yellow endpapers, t.e.g. Illustrated with fold-out color frontispiece showing sections of land strata in England and Scotland, as well as numerous B&W engravings. First published in Edinburgh in 1841, this text is taken from the Fourth London Edition. . Covers mildly rubbed and worn, former owner's signature on bookplate on fep, some very old damp-stains in text, edges and some pages lightly foxed; appears to have never been read. VERY GOOD. . B&W Illustrations. 12mo 7" - 7½" tall. xxiv, 288 pp .
