The Battle of Carrock's Ford took place along the Cheat River in the western part of Virginia (now West Virginia). Often considered a final part of the Battle of Rich Mountain, it was the end of a series of battles between the forces of Maj. Gen. George B. McClellan and Brig. Gen. Robert S. Garnett.
