The emphasis is on significant American painting and includes the work of such artists as Winslow Homer, George Inness, James A. McNeill Whistler, Frank Duvenek and Albert P. Ryder, as well as John H. Twachtman, Childe Hassam, Mary Cassatt, George Bellows, John Sloan, Robert Henri, Goerge Luks, Charles Demuth, Maurice Sterne, Eurgene Higgins, Charles Burchfield, and Grant Wood, as well as many others. Also includes sections on Far Eastern Art, Spanish Art, Mexican Art, Modern French Art, and Old Master Paintings.
