Observations on the Design for the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane as Erected in the Year 1812

by Wyatt, Benjamin:

Condition: See description

London:The Architectural Library, 1813 . orig. boards, marbled cloth spine, the Theatre Royal Drury Lane was Benjmain Wyatt's first substantial commission. He won the competition for the design in 1811 rather to the surprise of the outside world, and after publishing a description of his design in 1812, reissued it in the present volume in 1813 partly to refute the suggestion that he had stolen the design from his cousin George Wyatt. 77pp, 18 plates some hand coloured.
