Grand Rapids, Michigan: William B Eerdmans Publishing Company, 1989. Hardcover. Near Fine. Near Fine in brown cloth, bumped to one corner. In a very good dust wrapper, sunned to spine with a couple of nicks to the top edge. A presentation copy with author's compliments slip laid in, along with a photocopy of the warm letter sent by Walter Stein to James Cameron complimenting him on the book and discussing its contents at length. Also laid in is a signed autograph postcard dated 1987 in which Cameron mentions his piece in the New York Review of 5th November on Nuclear Deterrence. This book comes from the collection of Walter Stein, a British writer, literary critic and Catholic moral philosopher. Born in 1922, Stein was a Jewish refugee from pre-war Austria, educated by the Quakers in York and eventually a Catholic convert who worked in the Department of Extramural Studies at Leeds University.
