Wear at the corners of the dustjacket with a few nicks around the edges; aside from the author's inscription, no interior markings. Illustrated by the author with more than 80 black and white drawings, the book is made up of quotes from old manuscripts, diaries, and letters that describe the flora and fauna discovered in Ontario by the early settlers, all strung together by accounts of the way things are now.
