About This Item
London: The Fortune Press. First Published 1945" stated on the verso of the contents page; however, this is the 1965 unauthorised edition that was withdrawn from sale when the author discovered its existence. Tan, buckrum-covered boards with gilt lettering to the spine. (also issued bound in dark red buckram - no precedence established). 500 copies printed, some 280 copies sold with a dust jacket before sale was stopped; the remaining 220 copies did not have dust jackets. It is tempting to conjecture that this copy is one of those. No faults, about as nice a copy as you are likely to find, protected by a clear, removable cover. Weysprings Books is a Member of: the IOBA and PBFA, and subscribes to the Associations' Codes of Ethics. Bibliographic reference: Bloomfield A1(b). . Fine. Hardcover. 1965.
