Octavo (21.25cm); brown cloth, with titles stamped in silver and orange on spine, and decorative elements embossed onto front cover; orange topstain; dustjacket; [11],12-253,[3]pp. Bookplate signed by the author loosely laid in. Tiny wrinkle to spine ends, else Fine in a Near Fine dustjacket, unclipped (priced $4.50), with gentle sunning to spine and some trivial wear to extremities. The author's first book and first collection of short fiction, gathering 14 stories told "within a framework of realism, in a world of sex and blood, of poverty and poetry" (from front flap).
