Paris, 1833. First edition. Very good condition. An interesting lithograph comparing aboriginal habitations in Albany, Western Australia, Jervis Bay and New Zealand, from the official report of the voyage, "Voyage de la Corvette L'Astrolabe..." under the command of Jules Dumont D'Urville. The voyage had a particular focus on the aborigines and ethnography they encountered.
Plate 18, lithograph with tasteful later hand color, printed on laid paper with wide margins. 19 1/4 x 13 1/8" including captions. From 'Voyage de la Corvette l'Astrolabe execute par ordre du roi, pendant les annees 1826-1827-1828-1829...'. Oval blind embossed seal, "Voyage de l'Astrolabe, Dumont D'Urville Commandant, J. T" at bottom edge.
