Japan: Japan: Kokusho-Kankohkai / Arkham House Publishers, 1984, 1985, 1st Edition, First Printing, 1985. -----------( Japanese Editions of H P LOVECRAFT ) ---9 VOLUMES - hard covers, about 6w x 8.5h inches, all are Near Fine / Fine examples, upper edge of v.3 is speckled/spotted, all issued without dustjackets, all housed in lightly rubbed Very Good to Very Good+ slipcases which sport H R Giger illustrations taken from his edition of The Necronomicon, facsimile of Lovecraft's personal bookplate on verso of front covers ( in Western format this would be the rear cover but Japanese text starts at what we consider the back of the book ), seven of the nine volumes sport the original belly-bands, laid into each volume is some promotional material which might be for these books as that literature is titled ARKHAM ADVERTISER, as well each volume has the Arkham House logo on the front endpaper (again at what we would consider the back of the book ), so these were clearly authorized by AH, all with ribbon markers, volume 1 covers 1907 - 1921 / 2 = 1922 - 1924 / 3 = 1925 - 1927 / 4 = 1927 - 1928 / 5 = 1930 - 1931 / 6 = 1932 - 1937 / 7-i = essays / 7-ii = poetry and pastorals (including Fungi from Yuggoth ) / 9 = letters, revisions, essays about HPL, etc., all text is in Japanese except for the odd phrase or titles, ---illustrations in b&w as well as b&w photos, some illustrations are taken from the pulp era, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo ///NOT SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---extra shipping might be required depending upon destination ---if an issue please inquire before ordering ---.
