Complimentary copy from publisher with laid in slip. First edition stated, first printing with code S52 in gutter of last page. xxii, (2), 336 pp. Publisher's black cloth and orange paper-covered boards, spine lettered in gilt. Fine in fine dust jacket, lightly rubbed. An excellent copy. King's first short story collection. Many of these stories were made into feature films: "The Lawnmower Man," "Children of the Corn," "Trucks" (the basis of Maximum Overdrive), "The Mangler," and "Graveyard Shift." Also includes "Strawberry Spring.
Synopsis
