Newman, ballet master, producer, originator, composer, author, teacher, writes in his introduction: "This beautiful Bouquet of Terpsichorean Novelties has been composed and arranged in this convenient form with the music, for Playgrounds and Parochial Schools, for May Day Festivals, Carnivals and Dance Recitals . . . . dances appear in the form of Solos, Group Dances and Ballets, yet they are especially suitable for Class Work, and have been adapted to music by such . . . composers as Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Gounod, Dvorak and others . . . . every tone has been actually interpreted in the Terpsichorean Language . . . .". Fourteen dances with their music, graded from 1 to 4. Edgewear, some wrinkling and staining on boards due to water damage, corners bumped, front hinge partially detached from spine, the front free end paper has inscription and names of former owners, usual library markings, removed pocket and date slip on the back end papers, marginalia on one page. .
