Very good. ***Von Hügel was an Austrian diplomat with an interest in exotic plants. His journal (held by the Mitchell Library) details his travels in the Aust. colonies - Swan River & King George Sound, Van Diemen's Land (pp. 96-167), NSW and Norfolk Island - 'an insightful record of the flora he found here and the people he met... with acute and generally unflattering commentaries on British administration, the transportation system... and the treatment of Aborigines'. .
