San Francisco: Joanna Leary, 1973. First Edition, First Printing Printed Wraps Near Fine in Very Good Wraps 12mo (5 x 6-3/4), 42 pp stapled and perfect bound. Signed and numbered (346/1000) by Joanna Leary, publisher and copyright holder. Bearing the book's age in mind, it (text) is NEAR FINE (some darkening of page edges). White Glossy Printed Cover is slightly darkened and has a small (1/2" x 1/4") pale tan stain on front and one of the same size but slightly darker on the back but is VERY GOOD. This was the first appearance of Dr Leary's 8-circuit neurological model of consciousness. It was published and listed as copyrighted under Joanna's name because, at the time, Dr. Leary was in prison and the Federal Government had a lien on all income he might receive in royalties.

The images feature Leary and other unidentified people. Richard Alpert (later known as Ram Dass), Arthur Kleps, and Maynard Ferguson lived at the estate, while the numerous visitors and guests included R. D. Laing, Alan Watts, Allen Ginsberg, Charles Mingus, and Helen Merrill. Estate owner William Mellon Hitchcock, heir to the Mellon fortune, subsidized Leary's research and later financed the nation's largest LSD dealers, The Brotherhood of Eternal Love. Includes: 1.
