No jacket . Illustrated. Clean and unmarked red cloth with gilt and black stripes on front and spine, red lettering; edges rubbed, corners lightly scuffed. Tight, solid sewn binding, square. Rough cut. Former owner name on endpaper. Frontis: photograph of a marble bust of Nero, 37-68 A.D. Pages 6 and 7 have a few spots on them, otherwise Internals very clean and no other spots noted, evenly toned. The life and times of Nero, born 37 AD, and Emperor of the Roman Empire from 54 AD to 68 AD when he was dethroned and supposedly committed suicide. 427 pages with Notes, Genealogy of the Imperial House, Index (index pages remain uncut). 9.5 x 6.4 inches. 1930, Putnam's Sons, New York and London
