About This Item
Granada, Basingstoke, Hampshire, 1979. First Edition. Softcover. Good Condition. Illustrator: Photographic. Author's note and index. Between pages 112 and 113 there are four pages of black-and-white photographs. Illustrated paperback binding with dark pink and white coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. Between 1934 and 1939 the author convinced the Nazi hierarchy that he was " ... a true 'Aryan' British sympathiser, a liaison officer with his leaders back home: written would mind her own colonies and let Germany get on with the job of concreting the 'lesser races' of Europe  and exterminating the Jews." - from the rear panel blurb. By playing this very dangerous game he gathered vital information about the German build-up for war  unfortunately, his biggest problem was to convince Britain that it was all true ...
