Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall Octavo 0297774581 Hardcover Hardcover First Edition 0297774581 Author was a British Royal Air Force Officer who, during World War II, was responsible for the distribution of Ultra intelligence gleaned chiefly by decryption of German enigma cyphers at Bletchley Park, NW of London. Later he wrote the first popular account of Ultra entitled Ultra Secret (1974). This is an account of his activities with the British Secret Intelligence Service prior to the war. During his visits to the Third Reich between 1934 & 1939, he posed as a liaison officer .
