Foreword by David Rains Wallace, then a series of Acknowledgments, then an Introduction, "Pure as a Plant," followed by five chapters, tracking John Muir from childhood in Scotland and Wisconsin to an adult life in Alaska. The images are to die for. Somewhat unusually, there is an offset label on rear panel, not at all abraded, and with an additional image.
