J. M. Dent and Sons Ltd, London, 1932. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. XIV, 196 pp., preface, list of illustrations, scientific names of the birds mentioned in the text, index. Coloured frontispiece. Front endpaper is illustrated by a map. The text is illustrated with sepia photography. Blue boards with the publisher logo embossed in the front cover, gilt writing on the spine. The corners are bumped and the head and the heel of the spine and are soft and also bumped. There is browning of the paper edges of the book and internally, from half title page to the end of the book there is heavy foxing. The first 2" of half title page is loose. This book is a naturalists invocation of Sydney, its plants, its wildlife and above all the geographical make up of Sydney and surrounding areas. This is the first UK edition.
