The brief memoir comprising Napa Wine was first published in the expanded book edition of The Silverado Squatters printed in London by Chatto & Windus, 1883, having been omitted from the earlier serialization in Century Magazine. Gabler calls it " a significant literary account of the beginning of the Napa Valley Wine industry," and quotes Stevenson's " the smack of California earth shall linger in the palate of your grandson." Faint, small sticker blemish on front endpaper, near fine condition thus .
