Karpinski (1891-1982) was a General in the Polish Air Force and a pilot in World Wars I and II. Illustrations, index. Red cloth-covered boards with gilt spine lettering. Some soiling and edgewear on boards, minor soiling on textblock edges, a Biblioteka Polska subscription bookplate in each volume on verso of half-title page; text pages clean, bindings sturdy. Dust jackets lightly soiled with some edgewear. .
