About This Item

New York: Literary Guild, 1930. Trade edition. Hardcover. Rockwell Kent. 281pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] Tan cloth covered boards with blue ink stamped titles and designs on the spine and front cover. Very good. The ink stamping on the spine has faded, and there are several small, but prominent markings in colored pencil and pencil on the spine. The endpapers are discolored, the pages are age-toned, and the illustrations are just a little offset on the surrounding pages. In a very good minus dust jacket, with browning and light staining (more so on the jacket's sunned spine). The edges are rubbed, and have a handful of small closed and open tears. There is a vertical crease that runs from the top to the bottom of the rear panel. Rockwell Kent's journal of his adventure in Greenland. With eight full page illustrations reproduced from wood block prints by the author.
