Erwin Raisz. 230pp. Quarto [24 cm] Green cloth with black and yellow ink stamped titles and map design on the spine and front cover. Endsheets illustrated with maps of the world. Very good. The extremities are lightly rubbed and bumped. With the dust jacket designed by George Kelly. In good plus condition, with mild age-toning, creasing, and rubbing. Also a trifle soiled. There are numerous small losses from the edges. Maps by Erwin Raisz. From the dust jacket- "The road passes through country of incredible variety, through desert and jungle, Old World village and modern city, mountain and plain, wilderness and farmland. It is being constantly improved and pushed toward its next immediate goal, the Panama Canal. It is now open to tourist travel as far as Costa Rica, and to drive it is an adventure whose exotic flavor is caught in this book.
