About This Item

n.p., 1936. Hardcover. Very Good. frontis (portrait), illustrations, maps on endpaper, 127p. Original green cloth; lettered and decorated on the front cover in orange. 25cm. No Jacket (probably as published). INSCRIBED by Silbermann beneath his photo (frontis). Copy 85 of the edition which was limited to 500 numbered copies. The most interesting part of this uncommon book is probably his Big Game hunting and other experiences in Kenya described at pages 29-89. The rest of the book describes his trip, almost entirely by airplane, from London to Egypt and then from place to place heading south to South Africa (where Silbermann grew up). South Africa occupies pages 95-105 after which he returned north in several hops to Egypt and on to London.
