There is a very neat signature of Rockwell Kent on the half-title page -- it looks real but could be a printed signature. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 393 pages .

From the library of noted South Australian bookman Harry Muir, with a bookplate on the front fixed endpaper indicating that this is a gift to him from Elizabeth Watson Diamond, Christmas 1941. First Edition. A near fine copy in good dust-jacket which is chipped at the head and foot of its spine and is a little silverfished on its rear panel.

Pages 393 pp.8vo. Clothbound. Special Edition for Friday, Inc. Illustrated by the author. Autographed by the author/illustrator on the front free end paper. Front outer hinge worn through, back outer hinge starting to wear. No dust jacket.

An excellently printed and bound volume. Illustrated with a cornucopia of Kent's illustrations, on nearly every other page. Not an account of his whole life, but substantially devoted to his fight, with his neighbors, with the railroad that threatened his rural way of life in the Adirondacks. In addition to wrigint and illustrationg this book, Mr. Kent deisgned is dust jacket, binding, tittle-page, type page, and format. Note: if you do not buy this book, I will not mind keeping it ( I have had it twice before, but not this nice a copy). If you do buy it, you will have the pleasures of enjoying it.
