Ulster, Ireland: Collins . First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 16mo 6" - 7" tall. Handsome little tome, bound in burgundy cloth over boards, sturdy, brilliant gilt lettering to spine. Intact dust jacket, illustrated, showing only very minor wear beyond light chipping to spine foot, not price-clipped. No other Ulster-set novel has sold so many copies as this, and this edition adds The Souls of Poor Folk, gratis. This novel investigates the author's childhood and youth, and introduces the reader also to his mother, Anna. Fine woodcut engraving of Dr. Alexander Irvine, by John Luke, is tipped in at frontis. Undated, but appears to be 1930s. 248 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
