About This Item

London : Victor Gollancz, 1952. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight clean and square. Boards sharp and clean. Minor bump to foot of spine, title gilt perfect. Text block clean, with light toning to edges, slightly dusty top edge. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Previous booksellers pencil price to FEP. Feels lightly read. Very good close to near fine condition. Jacket has a 12mm closed tear to top edge. Tiny rub to top fore edge corner. Small closed tears to head of lightly toned spine. Main panels are clean and bold. Overall a very good copy indeed For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A very nice example of this collectible first edition first printing title, that looks greta on the shelf in the archival cover.
