Illustrated with a frontispiece and fifteen full-page engravings and seven plates, with numerous other illustrations within the text. Designs engraved on steel and wood. A compendium of ancient history: containing information on the mythology, the battles, the archaeological artifacts, the fashion and hairstyling, the authors, the geography, and the architecture of the ancient world. A Very Good book with a bit of rubbing to the extremities, an 1885 gift inscription, and the front hinge showing an old archival tape repair, with the hinge still tender.
