Carcosa Press 1977. Lavishly illustrated with over 30 major illustrations by Lee Brown Coye. The pages inside are crisp and clean, unmarked and like new. The binding is tight and straight. Black hardcover boards under jacket have title in red lettering on spine. The dust jacket is very good with only a hint of shelf wear from display. Excellent collectible copy for any library or collector. Ships boxed and insured from small bookstore. PLS NOTE; SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION MAY BE REQUIRED AT DELIVERY.
Long before he became the author of polished romances for the slick magazines and firsthand researched travel books, Hugh B Cave wrote some of the most grisly and chilling horror stories every to appear in the pulps. Collected here for the first time in book form - most of them reprinted for the first time ever - are 26 of Cave's best horror tales. Crawling forth from the Depression years - from before the haunted pages of Strange Tales and Weird Tales and more - Carcosa presents an omnibus of vintage nightmare.
