New York: Cupples & Leon Company, 1909. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Green cloth with white lettering and black, red and white pictorial stamping. 244pp, (6pp ads). Frontispiece, 3 full-page plates. Very good. Mild edgewear, with spine ever-so-slightly rubbed; ownership signature on front flyleaf; abrasion on quite edgeworn title page. A tight, nice first edition of the eighth title in "The Motor Boys" first series. Lists up to this title on copyright page and up to this title in ad at rear. The first "Motor Boys" series published 16 titles between 1906-15, the second series six titles between 1916-24. Qaint front board graphic shows the three young men cruising in a small motorboat.
