New York: Abbeville Press, 1995. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/fine. hardcover, illustrated with color photographs by the author, 240 pages. Preface by Paul Bowles. Warmly INSCRIBED and signed twice by Marry Cross to Virginia Spencer Carr, both times on the half title page, once on 9-18-95 and the other time on 8-9-95 in Princeton and she thanks Ms. Carr for putting her in touch with Paul Bowles who wrote the preface for this book. She also wishes Ms. Carr the best of luck with the biography of Bowles that she is working on. Additionally this book is INSCRIBED twice to Virginia Carr from Bowles.The first inscription is on the title page and the ink smeared so he repeated the inscription on the front endpaper.Virginia Spencer Carr was a close friend of Bowles and in addition to writing an excellent biography on his life, she was also the last speaker at his funeral. This is quite an interesting association copy.A fine copy in a fine dust jacket which is now protected by a mylar cover.
