Jackson, MS: Nouveau Press, 1987. First Deluxe Hardcover Edition. Hardcover. Very fine, with a fine copy of the print laid into the book.. First Deluxe Hardcover Edition. Hardcover. Copy #33 of 40 deluxe copies signed by Updike with an extra signed print by illustrator Schanilec laid in (there was also a regular signed hardcover issue of 300 copies). Wood Engraving by Gaylord Schanilec. Special Foreword by Updike. These deluxe copies were quarter-bound in Calf leather and a heavy Indian handmade paper, with the extra signed artist's wood engraving laid in. 8vo oatmeal paper-covered boards with 1/4 leather spine. Scarce. PLEASE NOTE that all our First Editions are also First Printings, unless we specifically note otherwise. All our dust jackets are protected in clear mylar covers.
