Near fine in original black paper-covered boards with spine lettering in gilt, very good lettered slipcase and laid-in map of Saigon and Hanoi.. Octavo. 6.5 x 9.5 in. 900; 804 pp. Occasionally illustrated with black & white reproductions of artworks by Nguyen Quynh and eight color full page reproductions in volume two. Trang and Pensinger, husband and wife duo, wrote this book over an eight-year period. Trang published her first short story "A Bowl of Rice in Wartime" at age twelve under the pen name Thanh Nhung.
