Originally published in 12 parts from 1876-1880, and now bound into a single volume in contemporary green Moroccan leather, with beveled edges, raised spine bands, and gilded lettering and decoration; 121 beautifully colored plates after J. G. Keulemans. Leather covers show scattered scuffs and rubbing, mostly on edges; Gilt remains bright; Title page shows very slight foxing and a few slight smudges; Contents are very clean and intact, and plates are mostly perfect; A few of the plates show very slight foxing and/or very slight smudges near edges and not affecting images; A spectacular copy of this rare title; Photographs available upon request.
