London: Published By the Author Published from 1884-1886. 144 pages, plus 34 plates. Pages are approx. 11 x 15 inches. Half bound in burgundy leather over spine and corners, and matching burgundy cloth over boards. Raised spine bands, and gilt stamped lettering/decoration on spine. Top edge is gilded. Covers are rubbed and scuffed, though gilt on spine remains bright. Book plate on front paste down. Front free end leaf is detached, though laid in place. End leaves show a few chips and small tears. Older catalog listing has been clipped and affixed to blank fly leaf. Light to moderate foxing throughout, being heaviest on first and last few leaves. Most plates are minimally affected by the foxing, though all plates show some. Despite these faults, all plates have good color and remain bright and attractive. . First Edition. Half Cloth - Hardbound. Fair+/No Dust Jacket. Large 4to.
