Torino: Ermanno Loescher, 1882. First Edition . Cloth - Hard Cover. Good/No Dust Jacket. 4to. J.G. Keulemans and Others. Pp [3] 174-217, plus two hand colored plates. Offprint from "Memorie delle Reale Accademia delle Scienze di Torino, Series 2, Vol. 34." Interleaved are twelve additional plates and some text extracted from various issues of "The Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London." Of these tipped in leaves, eight are hand colored, and four are not. This includes two sets of the same illustrations (and PZS number), though with one being colored and one not. The bookplate of James Edmund Harting (1841-1928, British Ornithologist and Naturalist). The blank fly leaf has a small piece cut out from the upper corner, where a presentation note from the author to Harting has been professionally inserted. Hinges are cracked and a little loose. End leaves are darkened. Covers show general light wear.
