About This Item
University of Minnesota Press, 1939. Very Good. WARMLY INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR LAURENCE SCHMECKEBIER on the half-title. A solid copy to boot of the 1939 1st edition of this important, early survey of Modern Mexican art. Tight and VG (soiling at the front and rear inner hinges and the half-title, elegant bookplate to the front pastedown) in a bright, VG- to VG dustjacket, with light chipping and creasing along the panel edges, and a 3" closed tear and light staining to the flap-folds. Still though, very presentable and uncommon as such. with the lengthy inscription from the author. 216 halftone illustrations and 2 plates in full color follow the text.
