About This Item

Chicago: Reilly & Lee, 1931. 327 pages. We have labeled this book as a "first edition," but identifying first printings of Reilly & Lee titles is difficult. There is no date on the title page; 1931 with no additional printings noted on the copyright page. There is a price of $1.50 and a description of this title on the front flap of the GREEN dust jacket. The rear flap lists six titles (through "Scallywags"), and Miss Minerva's Neighbors is listed on the title page. The book is clean and tight, with some light tanning at the margins of the endpapers; light foxing on the top edge of the textblock. The dust jacket is clean and bright, with some foxing on the flaps; two 1 1/2" closed tears at the bottom of the front panel; two small chips--one on the spine not affecting any lettering, one at bottom of front panel affecting 4 letters in the work "illustrations.". First Edition. Hardcover. Collectible-Very Good/Good+. Illus. by William Donahey. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Red Cloth Covered Boards.
