Pages are heavily tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Heavy cracking to hinges, causing boards to be loose. Cracks to guttering, causing pages to become loose. Label remnants to front endpaper. Thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Large splits with substantial area of loss to spine. Heavy sunning to boards with water drops overall. Book is bowed and forward leaning.

Large area of loss to spine strip. Noticeable splits to joints, causing boards and bottom edge of spine to be loose. Water marks overall. Book is bowed and forward leaning.

Moderate sunning to spine and edges. Visible wear and white marks to boards.

Gilt lettering and decoration. Marbled paper over boards, as well as marbled end leaves and edges. Slight rubbing on covers. Inked last name at top of title page. There are four leaves near the end with small edge tears and corner fold creases. Volume remains tight and very attractive.
