Geoffrey Bles, 1947. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. First edition. Pages are largely unmarked with some writing in blue marker on front endpaper and a couple lines underlined in pencil on pg 172. Discoloration on back endpaper. Foxing on fore-edge and top edge of text block. Binding is tight. Board corners are bumped and all edges are scuffed and faded. Spine ends have softened, but gilt lettering remains bright. One large bump along top back edge and small bump along back fore-edge. Dust jacket is heavily soiled with a few spots of dampstaining on front. Tears at gutters at top and bottom of spine with small chip missing at bottom front. Corners have small chips and top front corner is ripped. Spine is sunned. Jacket now covered in mylar.
