Slight wear to edges and corners of boards and clear plastic jackets. V III is signed by the author and numbered 1740. All volumes have an inscription of ownership - I & II on flyleaf, III at top of title page. V II is a second printing, others are 1st printings. A major work of railroad history in the Western US, focusing on the gold and silver belt, with v. III also covering the search for mineral specimens out of Georgetown Colorado.
